My first time trying out frosting roses!

I decided to make a Rosary cake for my priest!  He was very surprised I used small pearl sprinkles for the beads!

  Here are some Christmas Cakes! First is a snowman, then a Christmas tree, and then a 4 layer cake.     I gave this Christmas tree cake to some friends that hosted a night of playing cards. This next cake is somewhat like a MSU cake I suppose because it is green and white! The top layer is actually just a cupcake. On this cake I used a green spray can edible thing, it's just like a spray paint can, only the paint is edible.  Top view of the 4 layer cake.

This is my Minnesota cake. I've got a friend that currently lives in Texas, but used to live in MN. He came up recently and so I thought I would surprise him with a MN cake. I was making it in the kitchen and would not let him see what I was doing until it was finished! I had Jeff distract him for a while. The picture to the right is before it was frosted.   This is Brad with his cake!

Hello World! I have decided to make my first blog ever. It is about cakes. I recently got interested in cake decorating, as I have watched Cake Boss on Netflix. I have made a few cakes so far, and plan on getting better and better. I plan on posting pictures of my cakes as I make them. Today I ordered 3 cake decorating books online. Here I go!
